Every one of my portrait sessions includes a pre-session consultation to give you a clear view on what we will create together. Enter: The Mood Board. The idea isn’t to over-do, its to keep it effortless, and centered on you. Color palettes, scenery, activity, vibes, feels. These are all things that are artfully infused into your session, with purpose, to give you resulting artwork that makes you feel connected to the moment. Even just the act of intentionally creating a visual springboard for your shoot will put you into a sort of state to manifest the feels you’re looking to evoke.

Pinterest is a great place to start, for collaboration so that you feel connected and unified with me as your photographer who is here to work FOR you, WITH you, and serve YOU. I love to have an in-person, or facetime/zoom sesh with my clients to get to know you and how I can best deliver your story in image form. I like to think that I’m pretty savvy with details and capturing the little things most people would miss. And even when you know what style you want to achieve in your session, it can be difficult sometimes to verbally articulate it. We’ll have a mood board to connect over and bounce potential ideas around, and just get a general sense of what direction we’re taking for your session. We will be in touch every step of the way, so that you don’t have to overthink anything on your session day, you just get to, simply, be. And know that you’re in good hands.

Get a head start on your session by thinking of how you want your story told. The words you would use to describe your love story. The emotions that certain colors bring. The contrast of neutrals against a brightly colored background. The light conditions at certain times of day, in certain venues, and the natural mood it creates. These things all play a part in the magic we create. And as your photographer & friend, I can’t wait to create for you.
